To
our valued members,
During
these uncertain times, especially with so many things on your mind, we want to
assure you that School Systems Federal Credit Union is here for you. COVID-19
has cancelled, postponed, and slowed down much of American life, but the
nation's financial system operations are still strong. We are still strong.
School Systems FCU is not going anywhere, because at its core, our Credit Union
is not a building, or business, but a group of people unified by a common goal.
There
are many things you might be worried about these days, but the safety of your
money should not be one of them. Besides being a sound financial institution,
deemed low risk and well capitalized by our examiners, your money is Federally
insured by the National Credit Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF), up to $250,000
per member. This fund is backed by the full faith and credit of the United
States of America. There is no risk to keeping your money safe in your account,
but there are countless risks to holding excess cash.
Over
the years, we have been diligently upgrading the technology and services of the
Credit Union, so you can now meet nearly all of your financial needs without
leaving your home. If you are not utilizing our electronic banking options, now
is a good time to sign up for online banking at www.schoolfcu.com or visit the
Apple App Store or Google Play store to download our mobile banking app. You
can check balances, transfer between your SSFCU accounts, pay bills, apply for
loans, and more. You can even close many of our loans remotely these days!
For
those of you already facing down financial distress, we want to reiterate our
continued commitment to helping our members through both the good times and the
bad. If you find yourself in a difficult financial situation, please do not
hesitate to reach out – we have a myriad of ways to help ease the stress of
mounting bills in challenging times.
Now,
more than ever, our staff is dedicated to supporting our members. Please
continue to monitor the information coming from health professionals, local
government officials and your local school districts. If you do truly need to
visit one of our branches, please be aware that our lobbies are now closed, but
we are keeping our Drive-Up and ATMs open.
We're
here for you if you need any additional assistance.
In
addition to our electronic banking options, you can access your funds at these
